Five Ways To Improve Mental Health

Our mental health has a huge factor on our everyday life. People are focusing on the importance of mental health, now more than ever. With the ever growing social media spaces, more people are inclined to talk about their issues with mental health and how they are coping. This is great news because we now know there are other people out there just like us, they are relatable.

There was a time where many of us would focus on that perfect instagram photo and although that is still a thing, I am finding more and more woman who are putting it all out there for us to see that not everything in our homes is in the perfect spot. We are in fact living in our houses, aren't we?

I have found five great ways for us to improve our mental health and I want to share them with you!

The first one is Connection. Having open communication with someone you can relate to is huge! It can be so refreshing to know that you are not alone when it comes to having crumbs on the floor that your dog hasn't yet helped you clean up or an empty roll of toilet paper on the holder still. We are not alone ladies! Find your tribe. We are out there!

The next one is being active. I know, I know this one can be hard. But honestly, even putting on a ten minute timer and compete with yourself about how much you can clean up in that amount of time, is still active moment! Get your blood pumping. It will get your body feeling better than just sinking in the coach after a long day.

One of the most important ones, in my opinion is being in the moment. Stop to take in that moment where your toddler is trying to put the triangle in the square hole, or when your daughter is begging your for a cell phone. Embrace your family and pets and remind yourself to take a deep breathe and embrace the moment you are in. The robot life is REAL. Remember that saying "Stop and smell the roses?" have some gratitude for what you do have in your life.

Educate yourself. We are never too old or young to learn something new. There is a wealth of information in this digital age. Search for something you are interested in. Even just going on a local news page can help you find new ways to use your sponges. I mean you ended up here and you are reading about your mental health right? Would this be a good time to mention I have a YouTube channel? 🤔😂

Finally, be generous. This can be your time, money, advice, a good listening ear or hug. Giving can mean so many things and honestly, it's actually pretty selfish too because you will feel so much better after helping someone. Even the littlest thing for you could mean a major mood change for someone else. Try it!

And if you're not already, please join us on the personal growth group! It is always nice to get to know new people in there!

Stay healthy girl!
